Case 4 System Design Optimization: Natural Gas Gathering & Distribution System
In this blog, we will discuss optimizing a system that achieves its equilibrium using Solvability & Multiplicity (M2) and Undecidability & Uncertainty (M1). The system needs to have a marginal capacity to accommodate its inputs characteristics variance.
Our system works based on two concepts: 1-Phase separation using gas and liquid momentum difference and 2-Components separation using chemical adsorption. Sometimes the two concepts are combined, for example minimizing liquid contents, i.e.
